Preliminary work on the new lecture hall has been going on for the last few days. Lines have been laid to determine the location of the battery boards and excavations for the foundations have been begun. If the weather should not become too cold the masonry work will be commenced in a few days. G. Lowell '92 will have charge of the construction of the building, which according to contract is to be finished by next September.
