A New Dormitory.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Ground has already been broken for a new dormitory on Boylston street, between Winthrop and Mount Auburn streets. The building will be the property of Isaac McLean and Son; and the contract has been given to Locatteli & Company. According to the plans of the architect, the dormitory will be a four story structure, and will be built of brick with a lime stone finish.

The interior of the building, which will be lighted by electricity and heated by steam, is to be finished in quartered oak and will have mosaic tile floors. There will be sixteen suites, two double and two single on each floor. All the living rooms will face on Boylston and Winthrop streets.

The dormitory has not yet been named, and will not be ready for occupancy for about a year. The suites, however, will be rented in March.
