Hockey Practice and Plans.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University hockey squad held its second practice on the rink on Holmes Field yesterday afternoon. In spite of the poor condition of the ice the play was fast. The passing was erratic at times, but the men showed up well, although the forwards allowed the opposing line to get well started by failure to follow the puck.

The first practice game will be held tomorrow against a team composed of graduates. After Christmas practice will be resumed on December 30 and all men are expected to report on that date. No other games have as yet been arranged except a game with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on January 10. A training table will be started immediately after that game. The first intercollegiate match will be held on January 17, when the team will play Princeton in New York.

The candidates for the Freshman team will be called out immediately after the Christmas recess.
