Freshmen, 10; Andover, 3.

The Freshman baseball nine defeated Andover at Andover yesterday afternoon by the score of 10 to 3 in a game which, though exciting at times, was characterized by frequent errors on both sides.

Although the fielding of the Freshmen, especially in the outfield, showed improvement in starting and in judging the ball and their headwork and throwing were better, yet in other respects the game was discouraging, as the batting was still weak and the bunting not so good as in practice. The baserunning, also, was poor and team-work was conspicuously lacking. Individually the Andover team was good but the men did not play well together.

The score by innings: 1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9  r.  h.  r.  h.  e. Freshmen,  3  0  1  0  0  0  6  0  0--10  5  4 Andover,  0  1  0  0  0  0  0  0  2--3  5  7
