Practice for the University basketball squad will recommence this afternoon at 5.30 o'clock in the Gymnasium. A regular first team will be picked before Wednesday and a training table started at the Union the latter part of the week. It has not been definitely decided whether a professional coach will be engaged, but for the present the squad will continue practice in charge of J. W. Gilles 2L. A cut will probably be made before next week.

The Freshman squad will practice each evening at 8 o'clock under the direction of H. B. Young '04.

The University basketball schedule, as approved by the Athletic Committee, includes ten games, five of which will be played in the Hemenway Gymnasium. The first game of the schedule will be played in the Gymnasium next Friday evening against Pennsylvania. Harvard has already lost one game in the intercollegiate championship series by forfeiting the game which was to have been played with Cornell at Ithaca before Christmas. A game with Holy Closs at Worcester is the only game arranged outside of the regular intercollegiate schedule.

Following is the complete schedule:

Jan. 15.--Columbia at New York.

Jan. 23.--Princeton at Cambridge.

Jan. 27.--Holy Cross at Worcester.

Feb. 12.--Columbia at Cambridge.

Feb. 19.--Princeton at Princeton.

Feb. 20.--Pennsylvania at Philadelphia.

Feb. 27.--Cornell at Cambridge.

Mar. 5.--Yale at Cambridge.

Mar. 11.--Yale at New Haven (provisional).
