New Tennis Courts on Holmes Field.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The tennis courts on Jarvis Field are being put in condition for play, and if the weather holds good, half of them will be ready for use within a week; a fresh layer of dirt is being added in order to make a perfectly smooth surface. Work on the other courts will be begun in about a week.

Four new courts, three singles and one double, are to be made on Holmes Field, on the ground formerly occupied by the hockey rink; work will be commenced as soon as the ground is dry and it is expected that the courts will be in condition for play this spring. This addition brings the total number of courts open to the University up to 38; of these 26 are on Jarvis Field and 12 on Holmes Field.
