Poor Crew Work.

[Special Dispatch to the CRIMSON.]

RED TOP, June 21.--The first crew was again late in getting on the river, the delay being made in the hope that the wind would die down at sunset. After 7 o'clock the men rowed down stream at a 29 stroke for two miles, and returned at a 30 stroke. The blade work was ragged and was a decided falling off from the good work of yesterday. E. C. Storrow '89 and F. L. Higginson, Jr., captain of the 1900 crew, arrived today, and will remain until after the race. Both found considerable improvement in the work of the crew since its departure from Cambridge.

The races on June 30 will be rowed as follows:

The Freshmen will start at 10.30 at the bridge and row up stream, finishing at the Navy Yard. Immediately after the Freshman race is over, the four-oared crews will start at the Navy Yard, and row up stream, finishing opposite Red Top. The University eights will start at 12.30 opposite Red Top, and row down stream, finishing at the bridge.
