The University basketball team defeated the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the M. I. T. gymnasium last evening by the score of 22 to 13. With the score 11 to 9 in favor of Technology at the opening of the second half, the University team steadied its play, and by clever blocking prevented its opponents from further scoring from the floor. Blake, however, threw two free tries for Technology in this period.

In throwing easy baskets the University forwards and center were very inaccurate throughout the game. The team work, too, was poor except for occasional fast rushes down the floor. On the defense Burnham and Griffiths covered well, but were unsteady in passing to the forwards.

The summary: HARVARD.  M. I. T. Henderson, l.f. r.f.,  Mathieson, Fredericks Murray, r.f.  l.f., Blake Snyder, c.  c., Wentworth Burnham, l.g.  r.g., Wiggins Griffiths, r.g.  l.g., Burleigh
