ITHACA, N. Y., February 24.--The Harvard basketball team was defeated here this evening by Colgate by a score of 25 to 13. Inaccurate passing and throwing of goals from fouls were responsible for the defeat.

The summary:

Score--Harvard, 13; Colgate, 25. Goals from floor--Griffiths 4, Knapp 4, Brigham 3, Stowell 2, Runze 2, Risley. Goals from fouls--Henderson 5, Knapp. Referee--Root, Colgate. Umpire--W. O. Dapping '05. Time--20-minute halves.

This evening the University team will play West Point at West Point in its last scheduled game this season.
