Carnegie Gift for Radcliffe Library

Mr. Andrew Carnegie, of New York, has just offered $75,000 for the foundation of a library at Radcliffe College, on condition that the college should raise an equal sum of money for the same purpose. Except for this stipulation there are no restrictions on the gift.

In his last annual report of Radcliffe College President Briggs dwelt upon the needs of a new library--the present one is far too small for the growing demands of the college.
