Lectures on Metallurgy

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Mr. Woolsey McA. Johnson of New York, will deliver the first of a series of three lectures on "Some Applications of Physical Chemistry to Metallurgy" in the Lecture Room of the Rotch Building at 4.30 o'clock this afternoon. The lectures will be given under the auspices of the Mining Department.

Mr. Johnson is a well-known practical metallurgist. After completing his course at Trinity College he pursued extensive studies on metallurgy in Germany, and further studied the subject in the Graduate School. Last year he lectured before the Mining Club on "Numismatics."

Mr. Johnson will probably give three more lectures on the same subject next week or the week after. All the lectures will be open to the public, and students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are especially invited to attend.
