Extensive changes in the orders of the Freshman crews were made yesterday as a result of the trial race over the 1 and 7-8 mile course on Saturday. Williams, Rackemann, Lunt and Severance, who have been rowing in the third boat, were tried in the first, at stroke, 7, 6 and 2, respectively.
The three eights and a four-oar yesterday afternoon rowed upstream to the Brighton bridge and back in short stretches, and in spite of the stiff breeze blowing across the river and the choppy water, the men pulled more easily together than hitherto.
The orders yesterday were as follows:
First crew--Stroke, Williams; 7, Rackemann; 6, Lunt; 5, Kennard; 4, Crandall; 3, Faulkner; 2, Severance; bow, E. Cutler; cox., Wise.
Second crew--Stroke, J. Cutler; 7, Ellis; 6, Wentworth; 5, Hanfstaengl; 4, Mulligan; 3, Cable; 2, Crowell; bow, Roche; cox., Galatti.
