Preliminary examinations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy will be held under the Division of Philosophy during the week from May 6 to 11 as follows: Monday, May 6, ethics; Tuesday, May 7, history of philosophy; Wednesday, May 8, special authors; Thursday, May 9, logic; Friday, May 10, psychology; Saturday, May 11, languages.
Candidates for the degree who expect to take the preliminary examinations at this time must submit to the chairman of the Division on or before Monday, April 22, their choice of languages and authors, as stated in the pamphlet of the Department of Philosophy. Each candidate must also on the opening day of the examinations present a written account of his previous training.
