Thirty Men Out for Baseball

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first fall practice of the University baseball squad was held on the first team diamond yesterday afternoon with 30 men reporting. Two teams were formed and a five-inning game was played which team A won by the score of 5 to 4. All the men were given a chance to play, but were not allowed to play hard owing to the cool weather. Team B led until the last half of the fifth inning, when Currier made a three-base hit which sent in the tieing run, and then scored the winning run himself.

Before the game there was a little preliminary work consisting of flies for the outfield and grounders for the infield.
