The annual clothing collection which will be made today and tomorrow is a worthy and necessary object of philanthropic interest. The applications for clothing which come particularly at this time of year are numerous and the benefits to be scattered far reaching. This year many charitable institutions have found themselves destitute of funds which heretofore they have been able to rely on and so are unable to supply many of the urgent demands of poverty. It requires no great sacrifice to discard old clothes, and it is well worth the effort to have them ready for the collectors and thereby feel that they will fall into deserving hands.
