At the last meeting of the Athletic Committee the University football schedule for the season of 1908 was approved intact, and the following vote was passed and submitted to the Faculty last evening: "That this Committee consider the desirability of abolishing intercollegiate contests from the date of the final football game until the spring recess and act on the same on or before May 1." If passed, this vote would do away absolutely with intercollegiate contests in hockey, basketball, swimming, and indoor relay racing.
The football schedule is exactly the same as last fall, except that the Springfield Training School is played one week earlier, and Annapolis a week later. Following is the schedule:
Sept. 30, Wed.--Bowdoin.
Oct. 3, Sat.--University of Maine.
Oct. 7, Wed.--Bates.
Oct. 10, Sat.--Williams.
Oct. 17, Sat.--Springfield Training School.
Oct. 24, Sat.--Annapolis at Annapolis.
Oct. 31, Sat.--Brown.
Nov. 7, Sat.--Carlisle.
Nov. 14, Sat.--Dartmouth.
Nov. 21, Sat.--Yale at New Haven.
Unless otherwise specified all games will be played at Cambridge.
