VICTORY OVER PRINCETON.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

We extend our heartiest congratulations to the first Harvard baseball team that has defeated Princeton at Princeton in thirteen years. Against opponents that had the advantage of playing on their own grounds before enthusiastic partisans, the University nine scored a victory almost as decisive as the shutout at Cambridge. The fact that Princeton was able to score only one run in both games, as compared with Harvard's ten, is convincing evidence of the relative strength of the two teams.

The nine has now reached a critical stage in its development. Two of the most important contests of its schedule have been recorded as victories, and next Saturday at Ithaca another decisive game is to be played. Throughout, the team has shown a sprit of determination to win that has been a considerable factor in its success. A splendid showing has been made so far, and it is with confident anticipation that we look forward to the final games of the season.
