The thirteenth annual convention of the Associated Harvard Clubs will open this morning at 10 o'clock at the Hotel Sinton, Cincinnati, Ohio, and will continue until tomorrow evening. The meeting this year will be of unusual importance on account of the presence of President Lowell and Mr. Eliot. The attendance is expected to be larger than at any previous meeting and large delegations are expected from the clubs of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Cleveland, as well as representatives from the clubs of Japan, Berlin, Hawaii and Manila. During the course of the meeting President Lowell. Mr. Eliot, Mr. R. J. Cary '90, president of the Associated Harvard Clubs, and A. G. Cable '09 will speak. A number of questions connected with College affairs and policy will be brought up for discussion,--the new Graduate School of Business Administration, the employment bureau, the methods of aiding Freshmen, and the condition of athletics under the recently appointed Athletic Committee. A second meeting will be held at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon, and the last meeting will be at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning.

At a large smoker which will be held this evening an ode to Mr. Eliot, written by Owen Wister '82, will be read, and a song in honor of President Lowell, by J. A. Carpenter '97, will be sung, as well as a new crew song, by E. H. Pendleton '82. Mr. Pendleton has also edited a special Harvard song book, copies of which will be given out.
