Review of Week's Rowing Practice

Candidates for the Freshman crew were called out for voluntary practice on Wednesday afternoon. Some 40 men responded and are reporting daily for work on the machines at the Newell boathouse. A few among those who reported have had previous experience. Although the majority have never rowed, they are beginning to show improvement under the careful attention of Coaches Wray and Stephenson. E. C. Bacon '10, who is in charge of the squad, and several members of the University crew have been on hand.

A few members of the University squad have reported for practice on the machines. On Monday the tank will be open, and these men will practice there. Candidate for the University crew will then be called out for voluntary work. All with experience, especially men who rowed in the dormitory crews in the fall are especially urged to report.

Practice will be held daily for 2 to 6, except on Saturday. No attempt will be made to grade the material for either the University of Freshman crews until after the mid-year examinations.
