1914 Eleven Tried New Plays.

The Freshman football team was given easy practice yesterday, there being no scrimmage. At first punting practice was held for the backs, followed by blackboard instruction in the Locker Building. A new set of signals was given to the team, together with many new plays and formations. These were tried out in a long signal practice.

The first team lined up as follows: l.e., Devereux, Dana, l.t., Gardiner; l.g., Bliss; c., Storer; r.g., Hitchcock, Mills; r.t., Willetts, Howard; r.e., Curtis; q.b., Friedley; l.h.b., Chatfield, Sortwell, O'Brien; r.h.b., Reynolds, Allen; F.b., Fox Bettle.
