In the last scrimmage before the game with the Princeton freshmen, the 1914 football team scored three times on the second. Several kicks were recovered and Reynolds made a 45-yard run.

As the second team had the ball for only a few plays, the first's defense was not tested, but the offensive work was strong and consistent.

Before the scrimmage the squad was drilled in running down under punts, and listened to a blackboard talk. Then the first team lined up against the substitutes and walked through a number of plays.

After the scrimmage with the first team, the second played for a ten-minute period with the substitutes.
