The changes announced at Memorial Hall introduce again the dangerous element of transiency, which has more than once proved a stumbling block to carefully devised systems of operation. Undoubtedly some new patronage will be attracted, but some men who are now regular boarders will be changed into transients. On the whole it is possible that the added convenience will be appreciated by the members, and that it will be worth while.

From all accounts the dining halls are recovering under careful nursing from their former precarious state. The work of the managing committee and the favor of the Corporation have averted the disasters that threatened. A continuation of official supervision and aid is the obvious method to prevent a recurrence of trouble.
