A world's record in the 352-yard low hurdle race was made by G. P. Gardner, Jr., '10 in the annual track games of the New York Athletic Club held on Travers Island Saturday afternoon. Gardner cleared the ten hurdles in, 44 1-5 seconds, lowering the former record of F. F. Puffer, made over the same course in 1894, by three-fifths of a second. He was matched against C. Bacon and L. Dorland, of the Pastime A. C., the former the Olympic champion hurdler, and Hartranft, former intercollegiate champion of the University of Pennsylvania, who finished in the order mentioned.
