HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The Association of Harvard Engineers and the Harvard Engineering Society will have their annual joint dinner in the Union Saturday evening, at 7 o'clock.
B.R. Green '64, who has had charge of the erection of various government buildings in Washington, will preside and addresses will be made by the following: President Lowell, R.S. Peabody '66, of Peabody & Stearns, Architects, Boston; W.E. McClintock, chairman of the Chelsea Board of Control: F.P. Stearns h.'05, consulting engineer, Boston: L.W. Perrin 2G., president of the Engineering Society; and W.B. Strong 1G., editor of the Engineering Journal.
Tickets for the dinner, at $1.50, may be purchased at the door or from the members of the following committee: W.H. Durfee 3G., chairman; E.A. Healey 1G., F.W. Hill '12. R. Murray '12, P.C. Nash '11, G.H. Roosevelt '13. All members of the University are cordially invited to attend. Those planning to be present should notify Professor F.L. Kennedy, Pierce Hall, of the fact immediately.
