The poor showing of most of the inexperienced candidates for the two assistant managerships of the Harvard Register indicates that only men of exceptional grit or of previous advertising experience can stand the test. Men in all departments of the University who have either of the above qualifications are urged to report. Each man is paid for the work done whether he is successful in the competition or not. The candidate selected as first assistant manager will in all probability be elected manager for next year. The competition lasts for five weeks, closing November 23. Candidates should plan to give as much time as possible to the work. Sporadic and disheartened excursions into the realm of business are usually fruitless.
Those interested should apply without delay to 44 Brattle street.
