The CRIMSON takes this opportunity to remind the various journalists of our little world that the feature of the Winter Carnival this afternoon will be an inter-paper relay race. Seldom does the chance present itself for her to meet all her rivals at once and to demonstrate conclusively the products of perfect training plus natural ability. It is generally conceded that the fight for second place will be between the fortnightly quill wielders and the followers of the Muse. Few sporting authorities expect the joke-smiths to finish; if, however, they are as quick on their feet as they are in amassing millions from quasi-effective advertising, the enigmatic aggregation from Mt. Auburn street may spring a surprise.
The entries are as follows:
Monthly.--R. Douglas '12, D. B. Adams '12, S. P. Speer '13, E. D. Smith '12, W. Sammons '12 Will finish.
Lampoon.--E. L. Barron '13, F. L. Allen '12, L. I. Grinnell '12, P. M. Hollister '13, R. C. Benchley '12 will finish.
Advocate.--F. J. Dennis '12, H. R. Peterson '13, S. Fairbanks '13, R. M. Nelson '13, J. R. Sibley '12 will finish.
CRIMSON.--H. L. Groves '12, G. N. Phillips '13, R. W. Bennett '13, S. H. Bowles '12, P. J. Roosevelt '13 will finish.
It is rumored that a dark horse team will appear for the scribes.
