The first practice for winter track candidates will be held on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. The board track is in place and Coach Powers will be on hand to direct the runners. The work will be of a more or less voluntary nature as no meets have been arranged previous to the Christmas recess. Its purpose is to give the men a little preliminary conditioning.
