SMALL VOTE IN ELECTION FOR SENIORS, SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS.

In the Junior class elections held yesterday Edward William Mahan, of Natick, was elected president with a total of 140 votes for first choice as against K. Bromley's 110. The vote for vice-president resulted in the election of Richard Norris Williams 2nd, of Cambridge, defeating D. C. Watson, 158 to 92.

The following men were elected to the Student Council from 1916: Wells Blanchard, of Concord, 219; Clifford Frederick Farrington, of Cambridge, 211; Ernest William Soucy, of Forest Hills, 188; David Percy Morgan, Jr., of New York City, 181; Samuel Morse Felton, Jr., of Chicago, Ill., 159; William Cowper Boyden, Jr., of Winnetka, Ill., 157; Kenneth Barnitz Gilbert Parson, of Providence, R. L., 138.

After five recounts the committee was unable to arrive at a decision regarding the election of the secretary-treasurer and another recount will be held tomorrow. On no two counts of the 250 ballots did the results concur.

Senior Elections to Council.

From the Senior class nine men were elected to the Student Council. The men elected and the votes they received follow: Stanley Bagg Pennock, of Syracuse, N. Y., 78; Hugo Francke, of Cambridge, 76; Malcolm Justin Logan, of South Boston, 72; Robert Tileston Gannett, of Cambridge, 71; Morgan Brigham Phillips, of Brookline, 69; Thomas Jefferson Coolidge 3d, of Boston, 67; John Sherwood Fleek, of Newark, O., 64; James Greenough, of Cambridge, 58; Thomas Kinsman Richards, of Spokane, Wash., 56.

New Sophomore Officers.

In the Sophomore elections Richard Harte, of Philadelphia, Pa., with 139 votes for first choice, was elected president and George Ezra Abbot, of Andover, with 112 votes, was elected vice-president. Jose Calderon Harris, of Brookline was elected secretary-treasurer with 73 votes for first choice over F. H. Cabot, Jr., who received 72. The following were elected to the Student Council: Westmore Willcox, Jr., of Norfolk, Va., 216; Oran Gould Kirkpatrick, of San Antonio, Tex., 197; John Edward Parsons Morgan, of New York City, 166; Eric Alexander Douglas, of Buffalo, N. Y., 131; Robert Baldwin, of West Newton, 121.
