HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Sunday, October 4, has been set apart by the President of the United States as the day to be observed in all the churches by prayers for peace. A service in this interest will be conducted in Appleton Chapel. Professor Edward Caldwell Moore, Chairman of the Board of Preachers of the University will preside. Professor Moore will also hold morning prayers during the week of October 5-11.
The Rev. Endicott Peabody, D.D., of Groton School, is unable to conduct service on Sunday, November 1 and the succeeding week. The Rev. P. R. Frothingham, of Boston, will take his place, Dr. Peabody serving from January 17-23.
