NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Since its organization last May, the committee on appointments of the Harvard Club of New York City has been instrumental in securing positions for 63 Harvard men. The committee has not confined its activities entirely to the members of the New York City Harvard Club, although it was established primarily in their interests. Applications for positions have been received from Harvard men as far west as Colorado, and as far south as Tennessee; and positions have been filled for graduates and undergraduates in Pittsburg and West Virginia as well as in New York City.

Briefly summarized the results of the work of the committee may be stated as follows: applications received, 75; positions filled, '63. The positions were divided as follows: permanent, 31; temporary, chiefly summer work, 32. The approximate earnings for last year of all the positions was $29,640, and the approximate total earnings for temporary positions was $3,878; a total of $33,518.
