Defeated Opponents in Straight Sets.--Class Tennis Starts Today.

W. B. Hugus 2L. and W. T. Badger 2L. won the championship of the University in doubles yesterday afternoon when they defeated J. Wooldredge '16 and R. T. Crane '17 in three straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, and 6-4.

The interclass tennis tournament will begin this afternoon on Jarvis Field at 2 o'clock, the Seniors playing the Juniors and the Sophmores opposing the Freshmen, each team playing six singles and three doubles.

The names of the men on the teams in the order in which they will play are as follows:

1915.--1, W. W. Mansfield; 2, D. C. Josephs, captain; 3, J. A. Richards; 4, E. S. Draper, Jr.,; 5, W. Franzen; 6, H. Wainwright.

1916.--1, R. N. Williams, 2d, captain; 2, E. C. Wilson; 3, J. Wooldredge; 4, A. F. Doty; 5, A. S. Peabody; 6, H. D. Holmes.

1917.--1, G. C. Caner, captain; 2, J. S. Brown; 3, W. Rand; 4, E. V. Baker; 5, R. T. Crane; 6, T. W. Whitall.
