The Freshman hockey team defeated Rindge Technical High School by the score of 7 to 2 in a practice game in the Stadium yesterday afternoon. Although not up against as strong a seven as Melrose, the 1918 team showed a decided improvement over their playing in that game both in speed and team-work. The Freshmen forced the playing and kept the puck in their opponent's territory except for occasional dashes down the ice.
For the Freshmen, Condon and Dunmore at left centre and wing respectively did the fastest playing, each scoring two goals. For Rindge, Cedarstrand at right centre was the star with two goals to his credit.
The summary:
Score--Freshmen, 7; Rindge, 2. Goals--Condon 2, Dunmore 2, Gedarstrand 2, Pratt, de Rham, Thacher. Referees--P. Brown and G. Townsend.
