BEER QUESTION PUT TO TEST

PETITIONS HAVE BEEN SIGNED ASKING THAT ACTUAL VOTE BE TAKEN.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Petitions have been signed by more than fifty Sophomores asking that the question of serving beer at social gatherings of the class be put to a vote at the next class election. These petitions merely ask that the question be voted on and do not take sides in the matter. The Student Council will act upon it at the meeting of the executive committee Tuesday night.

Should the Council allow the vote a second request will be made for a special election to be held some time soon so that the question may be definitely settled.

At the meeting of the executive committee Tuesday, P. L. Sayre '16 and F. T. Smith '15 will urge the adoption of such a plan of direct student action so that the majority in each class may determine whether beer or other intoxicating liquors shall be served at smokers, class dinners, and other social gatherings.
