TEST FOR NINE IN ARMY GAME

BASEBALL MEN TO FACE STRONG TEAM AT WEST POINT THIS AFTERNOON.

The University baseball team will play the first game of its southern trip when it meets West Point this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. Although the University succeeded in winning a 15 to 3 victory last year, the Cadets have shown such good baseball this spring that a very close contest is expected. Six of the West Point ball players are veterans of last year, the new men being Mitchell at first base, Pritchard at shortstop, and Oliphant, catcher.

The University line-up will be the same as for the Maine game Thursday. The twenty members of the squad, together with Coach Sexton, managers, and trainers, left for New York yesterday at 3 o'clock and spent last night at the Hotel Vanderbilt. After the game at West Point the squad will leave immediately for Washington and will play Maryland Agricultural College on Monday. The batting order for this afternoon is: HARVARD.  WEST POINT. Fripp, s.s.  3b., Gerhardt Abbott, 2b.  c.f., Merrillat Nash, 1b.  r.f., Hobbs Gannett, r.f.  1b., Mitchell Mahan, c.f.  c., Oliphant Hardwick, r.f.  l.f., Bradley Phillips, 3b.  s.s., Pritchard Waterman, c.  2b., Coffin Whitney, p.  p., Neyland
