Picture by Scotch Painter at Fogg

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Fogg Art Museum has received, as an anonymous loan, an important painting by Sir Henry Raeburn, the greatest of Scotch painters. The picture is a portrait of Mrs. Henry Veitch, a great grand-daughter of Annie Laurie. It was painted in 1807 or 1808, and represents the artist at his best. It is not certain how long this masterpiece will remain at the museum, but it probably will not be removed until next Wednesday. There is a possibility, however, that it may be necessary to return the picture to its owner early tomorrow.
