Princeton's vacation hockey trip was very successful, the Tigers winning three of the four games they played. The first game was with St. Paul's School, at the St. Nicholas Rink in New York on December 22, and resulted in a victory for the collegians by the score of 6 to 3. The Princeton players did not appear to exert themselves in the first half, at the end of which St. Paul's led, 2 to 1. It was not until the second period was well advanced that the Tigers were able to break up the combination play of the schoolboys, but when they struck their gait they scored 5 more points to 1. Princeton won the first two games of the series with Yale at Pittsburgh by the scores of 5 to 2 and 2 to 0, but Yale came back in the final game and won by the score of 3 to 1. Humphreys, who was out of the last game, and Captain Peacock were Princeton's best men, while Captain Burgess and Washburn have been the stars of the Eli combinations.

Dartmouth showed promise of a strong seven, losing by a close score to the Arena team, and defeating the Massachusetts Agricultural players 4 to 0. Only the brilliancy of Sequin, the irrepressible little captain of the Arena team, prevented a victory for Dartmouth, as he scored two goals in the last few minutes against Dartmouth's one. Dartmouth showed ability at body checking, and some good individual work in the playing of Tyler, the Green centre.
