The first of the public discussions concerning the advisability of submitting to the vote of the classes in College a plan of compulsory membership in the Union will be held in the Living Room of the Union this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. As the committee is very desirous of having both sides presented completely, everyone interested and all who have opinions one way or the other, are urged to attend. Only by finding out the trend of public opinion will the committee be able to tell definitely whether it has the support of the classes, and it sincerely hopes that the meeting will be well attended.

The committee, appointed by the Student Council, has made a thorough investigation and if it gains a satisfactory vote from the classes, its recommendation would influence the corporation, which retains the power to make any such change, favorably in regard to the plan of compulsory membership.

Two other meetings will be held in the Union tomorrow and on March 10 at 3.30 o'clock.
