HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The 1916 Class Day Committee has announced the following program of events for Commencement week. The change of the Commencement exercises from Sanders Theatre to the Stadium is the most noteworthy feature. The removal was made because Sanders Theatre has proved very inadequate in size. This year, weather permitting, the Stadium will be the scene of the exercises and thus ample accommodations will be provided for everyone. The schedule of events is as follows:
Sunday, June 18.
4.00.--Baccalaureate Sermon, Appleton Chapel.
5.00 to 6.30.--President Lowell's reception to the Senior Class, 17 Quincy street.
Monday, June 19.
12.00.--Phi Beta Kappa Oration and Poem, Sanders Theatre.
8.00.--Senior Spread and Dance, Memorial Hall.
Tuesday, June 20. Seniors' Class Day.
9.00.--Senior Class Chapel Services, Appleton Chapel.
11.00.--Sanders Theatre Exercises:--Prayer, Reverend Albert Parker Fitch '00 Oration, Donald Joseph Wallace '16 Poem, Robert Cutler '16 Ode, Kenneth Ballard Murdock '16
3.30.--Tree Exercises, beside Holden Chapel.
4.00.--Stadium Exercises:-
Ivy Oration, Evan Howell Foreman '16 Cheering
Songs by Glee Club
Presentation of Class Banner to 1919 Singing, etc.
8.00 to 11.00.--Dancing in Memorial Hall and the Gymnasium.

Thursday, June 22. Commencement Day.
9.45.--Commencement Exercises, Stadium. (In case of rain) Sanders Theatre.

2.00.--Harvard-Yale Baseball Game (in case of a tie), Braves Field, Boston.
