THE SAFEST COURSE.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On account of the continued delay of the War Department in deciding whether Harvard will have a training camp it is no longer feasible for the eligible men in the R. O. T. C. to wait. These men want to obtain the best military instruction the country offers in order to fit themselves to be officers of the first army of five hundred thousand. The system of officers' training camps which have already been authorized will give this. Since it is doubtful whether a federal camp is to be established in Cambridge, all those in the R. O. T. C. at present who fulfill the requirements for the regular camp at Plattsburg should at once make application for the camp beginning May 8 at the headquarters at 42 Water Street. Captain Cordier is making every possible effort in Washington to have either a junior or a federal camp established here, but we shall not know whether he is successful for a few days. In the meantime the enrolments for the federal camps are coming in very fast. Therefore the safest plan for the man who wishes to be in the first "Ten Thousand" is to place his application for the Plattsburg Camp as soon as possible.

At the meeting in the New Lecture Hall tonight Captain Bowen will explain the system of Federal Camps and answer the questions of those who are uncertain as to what is the best course to take. Men "who wish to know," and their name is legion, should attend.
