To the Student Council of Harvard University:

I heartily approve of the measure which you are urging in regard to starting the daily schedule of Harvard an hour earlier in order to economize the use of artificial light. I hope that the University authorities will endorse the plan, and that other colleges of the state will be able to adopt the same proposal.   JAMES J. STORROW.
