Endowment Fund at Half-Way Mark

When the Harvard Endowment Fund office closed last evening 49.7 per cent. of the total objective of $15,250,000 had been raised. Of this Boston had contributed $3,107,575, or $25,275 more than the day before. New York's subscriptions were $2,699,151, and other districts $1,764,922, bringing the total to $7,571,648. The entire amount collected yesterday was $133,000.

Among the large subscribers numbered yesterday were Alexander Forbes '04, $15,000; J. L. Saltonstall '00 $10,000; G.A. Peabody '52, C. P. Bowditch '63, H. W. Bliss '84, E. C. Storrow '89, F. S. Newell '92, and J. L. Breweu '96, $5000 apiece; L. Loring '94 annd B. D. Barber '01 gave $3,000 each; B. Tuckerman, Jr., '11, $2,500, annd C. W. Eliot '53 annd Dr. G. B. Shattuck '83 subscribed $2,000 apiece.

A meeting of the team captains will be held tomorrow at 1 o'clock at the Exchange Club, at which reports will be made. Probably enough subscriptions were received but not reported yesterday to bring the total well over the half-way mark.
