WINNING CLASS CREW TO RACE YALE ON HOUSATONIC MAY 24

NO TRACK TRAINING TABLE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At the recent meeting of the Athletic committee, it was decided to authorize race between the championship class view of the University and the winning Yale class crew, to be held on the Houstonic River course at New Haven on Saturday, May 24. A regatta will be held in the Charles River tomorrow, in which the three upper classes will compete for the University championship. The victorious eight will be chosen to represent the University against Yale. In order to limit expenses the members of that boat will leave here on the 3 o'clock rain on the afternoon of Friday, the twenty-third, spending the night at New Haven, and rowing the following afternoon in a Yale shell.

Think Track Table Unnecessary.

The question of providing a training table for the track squad was discussed, and it was decided advisable to make no arrangements for it. The reason for holding training tables for the crew and baseball men is to give the members of the teams a place where they can get together, rather than to provide special good. As the track team works as individuals rather than a unit, it was voted that the establishment of a training table for them would be unnecessary.

Howe Assistant Athletic Treasurer.

Percival S. Howe '17 was appointed temporary assistant graduate treasurer of the Athletic Association to work under Mr. Moore. Howe was manager of the University crew in 1917, and has just been discharged, from the artillery of the United States Army, where he served as the captain. He will be the graduate in charge of the trip of the University Crews to New London this June.
