Combination of Straight Football and Aerial Attack Proves Effective

In a game in which straight football was combined with an exceptionally well executed forward pass attack, Brown easily defeated Vermont Saturday. It is this style of attack which Brown hopes to use to advantage in the Harvard and Yale games.

The backfield combination of Oden, Faulkner, Shupert and Armstrong for Brown had little trouble in gaining at will and in making the final touchdown which made up the final score. In its line smashing game, Brown ripped Vermont to pieces and only once were they held for downs.

So far this season, Brown has had an exceptionally good season, defeating all of its opponents by large scores. Although unable to keep the Maine eleven, which the University defeated 41 to 0, from crossing its goal line, the Brown team easily beat them by the score of 32 to 7. These comparative scores show that while the Brown eleven is not a marvel of strength, it will give the University a stiff game, and another opportunity to combat a cleverly executed aerial game.
