By deciding that it will not play Boston College in football in the fall of 1921, Yale has given up its policy of meeting a team from a small college until it wins a victory. This omission of Boston College from the schedule was necessitated on account of the need of developing a consistent schedule.
Frank A: Reynolds, graduate manager athletics at Boston College, sent a telegram to New Haven on Tuesday which read: "Uncertainty as to certain games, important among which is Yale vs. Boston College, renders schedule adjustment very difficult. Extremely important to ascertain whether Yale desires Boston College game for next season."
The Yale management replied: "Regret that in arranging a consistently developed schedule it has been found inadvisable to include game with Boston College."
