THE HARVARD POST.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The organization next Tuesday evening of the James A. Shannon Post of the American Legion will afford an excellent opportunity for those former service men in the University who have not already done so to enroll themselves in the Legion. It is peculiarly fitting that the post should bear the name of Lieutenant-Colonel Shannon, for it was due in no small measure to his inspiring personality that the R.O.T.C. camp of 1917 proved such a great success, and furnished so many able and well-trained officers to the Army. Many of those who served under him that summer later laid down their lives in France along with their leader; the James A Shannon Post will commemorate these no less than him whose name it will bear.
