For the benefit of the Smith College Endowment Fund, the University Band will play for a dance following a performance of Thackeray's "The Rose and the Ring" in Brattle Hall Thursday night. The play will be presented by the Marionettes from the Punch and Judy Theatre in Geenwich Village, New York. Among the patronesses are Mrs. Godfrey L. Cabot, Mrs. Samuel M. Crothers, Mrs. Samuel A. Eliot, Mrs. Byron S. Hurlburt, Mrs. Elmer H. Bright, and Mrs. Philip L. Spalding.
