OFFER ROOSEVELT SCHOLARSHIPS

Roosevelt Scholarships for the aid of college students will henceforth be awarded annually by a contest to be held in several states for the best essay on his life, according to an announcement from the recently organized Woman's Roosevelt Memorial Association.

Prizes will be awarded by each State Committee to the winners, and the successful essays in the several states will be forwarded to the National Headquarters where, upon decision by a committee appointed for the purpose, the scholarships will be awarded to the three leading contestants.

The first prize, according to tentative plans, will consist of $1000 in cash to pay the expenses of a year at college and will also include a specially designed medallion in gold. The second award will provide for $750 and a silver medallion, and the third $500 and a bronze medallion.
