"ALWAYS ROOM AT THE TOP"

Today, for the first time since the game in the Bowl, Harvard and Yale will match their strength and skill. The outcome of the hockey game is all but a foregone conclusion and the relay teams are nearly evenly matched.

Time was, a decade ago, when the betting was not whether Harvard would win against Yale, but whether Harvard would score. Our athletic victories of the past few years are the result of climbing steadily and doggedly from that position at the bottom of the ladder to the top; and a slacking off in interest and enthusiasm will send our teams just as surely and steadily back to the bottom.

There is always room at the top: Yale still leads on the track, and will do so as long as Harvard's interest in that sport is feeble. Tonight is very likely to be an indication of the outcome of our coming track season: apathy in the stands precludes defeat; enthusiasm leads to victory.
