TWENTY-FOUR RETAINED IN QUALIFYING ROUND OF GOLF TOURNAMENT

ROBERT JONES '23 GETS LOWEST SCORE OF 75

Fifty-two men reported for the qualifying round of the University Golf tournament at the Winchester Country Club yesterday. Twenty-four have been retained, sixteen in the first flight and eight in the second. Men in the first flight play off their matches at common wealth and those in the second at Chestnut Hill unless notified to the contrary. Men must arrange their own matches, which must be played off before Saturday.

Robert Jones '23 was the medalist of yesterday's play with a 75. Clark Hodder '25 was second with a 76. C. L. Peirson '25 came third with a 79, while R. S. Phillips '24 and R. M. Clough '24 tied for fourth with an 81. Several players failed to finish on account of darkness.
