The University hockey squad had the hardest work-out of the last ten days yesterday afternoon at the Arena when it fought to a standstill the St., Patrick's College team from Ottawa and the Boston College sextet. After a brief preliminary practice Coach Claflin started the scrimmage by sending his men against the Canadian players.

The Crimson scrimmaged St. Patrick's which defeated the University last year in two close contests, for about twenty minutes, the final result being a scoreless tie. Directly afterwards the B. C. players came on the ice and fought the Crimson for a half hour. This scrimmage also ended in a tie.

Coach Claflin used his first-string men against the Canadians and in the first part of the B. C. scrimmage, sending in his second-string players for most of the latter struggle. Crosby was out of the line-up today on account of a cold, Gratwick taking his place with the regulars.

Coach Claflin and his men will leave for the Yale game at New Haven Saturday night on the one o'clock train the same afternoon. The same eleven players who went to Philadelphia to face the Tiger earlier in the season will make the New Haven trip. The men in question are as follows: Angier, Baker, Crosby, Flint, Gratwick, Higgins, Hill. Larocque, Martin, Owen and Walker.
